Each year Topeka High Thespians arrange to attend the Kansas Thespian Festival at Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas. You are not required to be an inducted Thespian to attend KTF; all Topeka High students are invited to attend.
The 2024 Kansas Thespian Festival is January 4-6. What is the Kansas Thespian Festival? Each year nearly 2,000 theater students from around the state of Kansas attend this three day conference. Students attending Festival will see plays and musical productions from high schools across the state, attend workshops conducted by college theater professors and theater professionals, participate in late night events, seniors have the opportunity to visit with representatives from community colleges and universities about their theater programs, and seniors who are inducted Thespians can compete for Thespian scholarships. The trip costs approximately $220; this includes lodging for our two night stay in Wichita, and KTF registration fee.
